The Homosassa and Citrus county community supported our annual fundraiser tremendously. After needing to reschedule due to bad weather, the day of the fish fry was sunny and gorgeous with our best turnout ever. MacRae's was bustling with people wanting a plate of fish and purchasing tickets for the random drawings. Thank you to our sponsors and the community for supporting this fundraiser which allows us to invest back into our community and work to conserve our Nature Coast.

From humble beginnings over a decade ago, our flagship program has grown from taking one local school fishing to taking every fifth grader in Citrus County out on boats for an outdoor classroom experience. This program is now being adapted for use in other counties across Florida to educate and inspire future generations. 

Locals supporting locals! Our guides were there cooking up some of our famous hushpuppies during the swashbuckling good time. This event benefited the Homosassa River Restoration Project. 

The HGA awarded $10,000 in scholarships to Citrus County seniors heading to trade schools or college. Ten students each received $1,000 scholarships to aid their pursuit of education.
